Fall is in the air here in Illinois. Families are having fall fun at pumpkin patches, haunted houses, and apple orchards. The Fall Festivals have started and offer couples, singles, and families a great time.
Some local Western Cook County Family Friendly Events to consider:
Fright at Night (October 24th)
Take a walk through the dark Conservatory if you dare! Only a $5 admission fee. Event runs from 6-9 p.m., with 6-8 p.m. recommended for children 12 and under & 8-9 p.m. is for ages 13 and up.
Boo! at the Zoo (October 25th-26th)
Enjoy something for the whole family at the Brookfield Zoo’s annual Boo! at the Zoo Halloween event! Event features include pumpkin carving (professional), “Haunted Hayride,” and a Costume Showcase.
Pumpkin Junction ( October 31st)
Come out and enjoy FREE Trick-or-Treating at the Pleasant District businesses. Those participating this year include Serenitea, The Carleton of Oak Park, Barclay’s American Grille, Salon 212, Greenline Wheels, La Bella Pasteria, Mathnasium. Afterwards families can enjoy a Thriller Dinner Dance at the West Cook YMCA for $5/person or $8/family (up to 5).
All Hallow’s Eve (October 25th)
Join us in Berwyn for a fun family friendly “All Hallow’s Eve” event! Event will take place at Proksa Park. You can look forward to a bonfire and storyteller, pumpkin patch, hayrack ride, and Cemetery Cinema (Hotel Transylvania).
Trunk or Treat in the Park (October 25th)
The Forest Park Park District invites you to celebrate Halloween at their Trunk or Treat in the Park! You will not want to miss out on this unique Halloween event where participants park their cars and open their trunks to reveal themed decorations; and pass out treats.
